Elder Law Applicants for Certification
The National Academy of Elder Law Attorney (NAELA) offers a course that is designed to review what the attorney should already know prior to taking the exam, not to teach the test. The review course consists of written materials and an all day review session. Interested attorneys can contact Casey Anderson for more information. The National Elder Law Foundation (NELF) suggests Advising the Elderly or Disabled Client by Lawrence Frolik or Tax, Estate, and Financial Planning for the Elderly by Rebecca Morgan and David English or the Elder Law Answer Book by Robert B. Fleming and Lisa Nachmias Davis. All of the above are simply recommendations. Since all attorneys practice in different areas they need to focus their studying on the areas with which they are not familiar.
